Description:
Here for your consideration we have a vintage Epiphone Emperor from 1976! This one remains in great shape for being nearly 50 years old! Early blue label. Made in the famed Matsumoku factory. Gibson L-5 style. The body is in great shape besides one small crack on the back of the bottom horn (up close photo included). Pickguard has started to warp a bit but still in good shape besides that. The area around the output jack is clean with no damage or cracks that you typically find on these models. The neck and headstock are in excellent shape besides some very light surface marks. Fretboard is excellent and frets have nearly no wear. Hardware shows a fair amount of age and patina but is fully functional. Electronics work great and the original humbuckers sound fantastic. A stunning example of an Emperor that plays beautifully. Has been fully inspected and set up by our techs and ready for a new home. Includes hard case.
