Description:
Here for your consideration we have a vintage Airliner 7206 from 1963! A killer funky old catalog guitar that totally nails the Jack White/ Black Keys tone. Also does the clean Motown thing very well. This one is in good shape for its age and plays surprisingly well. The body shows some various surface marks/scratches, dings, dents, and finish chips but has no major damage. there is also a name that has been scratched in the finish on the top curve above the neck and on the tailpiece (photos included). Back of neck is in good condition. Headstock shows some wear but has no major damage. Fretboard shows a crack that runs up from about the 3rd fret to about the 14th fret. This cannot be felt when playing and the fretboard is still structurally sound besides that. Missing the 5th fret dot inlay. Frets show some wear but have no issues with buzzing/fretting out, etc. These guitars did not have a truss rod but the neck on this one is nice and straight with no issues. Hardware works great. Floating bridge assembly is in good shape. Electronics work great and features the super cool sounding low output Hershey bar pickup. A fun an interesting guitar that is totally its own thing. Plays well and sounds awesome. Has been fully inspected and set up by our techs and ready for a new home. Includes non original teardrop style hard case.
