Description:
A rare 1977 Burny FLG-90 VOBS (Vintage old brown sunburst) in good/vintage condition. These were among the first Japan LP style guitars to use more historically correct construction techniques; solid mahogany bodies with 2 piece maple tops, correct headstock angles/headstock shape & size, real MOP inlays, rosewood fretboards, etc. Also way ahead of the curve these features an aged looking finish decades before any US factories sought to do so. Very thin nitro finish. Gotoh tuners and Alnico V PAF style humbuckers.
This one remains in great shape for its age. Body shows various surface marks, dings, finish chips (VERY thin nitro finish), etc. but shows no major damage and overall in great shape. Neck shows some light surface marks but is otherwise clean. Headstock shows some light surface marks and some wear along the edges but is otherwise in great shape. Fretboard is in excellent condition. Frets show some light wear but overall are in good shape with a decent amount of life left in them. Hardware shows some age, pitting on the bridge/tailpiece, and some light patina on the tuning machines but is otherwise all in overall great shape and working perfectly. One extra strap button hole was made on the rear but has been filled. Both strap buttons have been replaced. Original knobs were broken so we changed them out with amber "top hat" style knobs. Top left screw of the bridge pickup ring has broken off inside but the ring still stays in the body perfectly fine with the rest of the screws. with Electronics work great and features a set of Alnico V PAF style hum buckers that suit the guitar perfectly and sound awesome. An incredibly cool and rare Les Paul that was way ahead of the game with the vintage/relic finish. Plays great as well! Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes gig bag but we do have hard cases available for upgrade.
