Description:
Here for your consideration is a 1990 Epiphone Casino Sunburst! Pre Elitist series, made in Japan at the legendary Terada factory. This one has seen its fair share of use but it plays amazing! Body shows some general playwear, surface marks, and minor dings, but is overall ion very good condition. Pickup selector switch has been relocated to to the top horn so there is a hole where it was located originally. Knobs have been changed out to some sweet custom dice knobs. Pick guard is missing but the holes remain in good shape so one could easily be put on. Neck shows a good amount of wear (see photos) with what appears to be some kind of almost chemical (?) reaction going on with the clear coat. This can be felt slightly, but it does not affect playability. Otherwise neck is in good condition with no major damage or issues. Headstock shows a fair amount of wear and some chipping in the finish along the edge (see photos) but is otherwise in good condition with no major damage. Fretboard is in very good condition. Frets show a decent amount of playwear but have no issues with buzzing or dead/high spots. Hardware shows a good amount of age, patina, and rust in certain places, but is all perfectly functional with no issues. Electronics have been cleaned and work perfectly. Pickups sound fantastic. Overall this one has some cosmetic issues, but plays great and has one of the nicest tops we've seen on a casino. "Roll the dice" on this one and you wont be disappointed. Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes gig bag.
