Description:

Here for your consideration is a 2016 B&G Private Build Little Sister P90 Cutaway classic in excellent condition! The B&G Little Sister Private Build is a premium, boutique electric guitar hand-built by master luthiers at the B&G Guitars Workshop in Tel Aviv, Israel. It is the flagship version of the iconic, award-winning "Little Sister" design, built to capture the fat, woody, and soulful acoustic tone of 1930s parlor guitars used by early Delta Blues musicians. B&G limits production to only about 16 Private Build guitars per month to ensure extreme attention to detail. This one has seen very little use and is in excellent, very clean condition. Some very very light surface marks but otherwise incredibly clean. One of the nicest feeling necks of any guitars in the shop with a soft V profile. An incredible, amazing playing hand built beauty. Includes hard case and COA, also with a matching gold pick guard that could be installed with some modification (holes would need to be drilled for the pick guard screws). See below for a full list of specs and info.

The story of the Little Sister began with the puzzling question of how the early delta bluesmen fascinated a listener with a guitar and their simple, yet soulful vocal lines.

We collected samples from the 1920s and 30s, many of which were in poor condition and needed complete restoration, and began to create the unique design that would best serve the guitar sound we became hooked on. And so the Little Sister was born.

The original design & finish of the very first Little Sister is the cutaway version. It has the same features as the first B&G guitar. This Little Sister model brings out exactly what our founding luthiers had in mind. After years of research, Kiki & Eliran created this magnificent blues machine.

Soft V Neck Shape

Our «Soft V» neck profile is inspired by a vintage acoustic neck, solid yet comfortable, to retain our trademark «parlor» feel and facilitate the thumb fretting techniques.

Solid Figured Maple

B&G only uses old-growth, reclaimed, and naturally seasoned wood blanks, hand selected and stored in a controlled environment warehouse. Our Maple tops are no exception, and are available in different quality and figuring classes, as well as in 1 piece option, in place of the standard bookmatched 2-piece top.

The Little Sister, Classic Cutaway

The first evolution of the Little Sister guitar is the cutaway version. Featuring the same specs, just a tad leaner in the body depth, it retains the same feel and tone as the Non-Cutaway and offers easier access to the upper region of the fingerboard. The Little Sister Cutaway adds a touch of modern versatility to the classic design of the original Little Sister.

Handmade Electronics

Each pickup is wound by hand with AWG42 lacquered enamel copper wire, powered by in-house cast AlNiCo II and AlNiCo V magnets and covered by our handmade brass covers.
