Description:

Here for your consideration is a 2012 MIJ Fender Stratocaster ST57-FR SSH Superstrat in excellent condition! A perfect blend of shred-abillity and classic look and feel. Body shows some light surface marks, and some minor finish scratches on the bottom edge (see photos), but otherwise is in excellent condition. Previous owner had set it up as an HSH configuration (Comes routed for HSH from factory) with a different guard (has extra pickguard screw holes underneath pickguard), but has been reverted back to stock with the original tortoise pickguard and SSH configuration. Neck, headstock, and fretboard are in excellent condition with no notable damage or blemishes. Frets hardly show any signs of wear whatsoever and have no issues and tons of life left in them. Hardware is in great shape overall and features Gotoh High Stability Tremolo System and Gotoh tuning machines. Electronics work perfectly and the original set of pickups sounds fantastic featuring two Fender Japan vintage style single coils in the neck and middle position and a DiMarzio Air Norton humbucker in the bridge. This is without a doubt one of the best playing Strats we have in the shop at the moment! Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes padded Fender gig bag. The Fender Japan ST57-SSH/FR/DP is a rare, high-performance "Superstrat" variant of the classic 1957 reissue. Produced as a Limited Edition/Fender Special Run (FSR) model starting around 2012–2013 to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Fender Japan, this guitar replaces traditional vintage specs with a modern, high-output setup built for heavy rock and shredding.

Bridge System: Factory-equipped with a Gotoh GE1996T (Floyd Rose-licensed) double-locking tremolo system and a 42mm locking nut.

Pickup Configuration: HSS setup featuring a DiMarzio DP193F (Air Norton S) humbucker in the bridge position paired with two Japanese-made vintage-style single coils in the middle and neck.

Neck & Fretboard: Modern maple neck featuring 22 Super Jumbo frets and a flatter, more shred-friendly 12.75" radius (compared to the vintage 7.25" radius on standard ST57s).

Body Wood: Premium Alder body finished in Walnut Brown

Headstock: Keeps the iconic small '50s pre-CBS shape with a gold spaghetti logo, but adds a locking nut string bar.
