2004 Rickenbacker 4003 Bass, Jetglo, Made in USA, with case
eMaker: Rickenbacker
Model: 4003
Condition: very good
Description:
Here for your consideration is a 2004 Rickenbacker 4003 in very good condition! The classic 4003 with its unmistakable looks and tone that has been used by countless players on countless albums. The body shows a fair amount of wear, including finish marks, finish chips, minor dings, etc., and has some cracks in the binding on the rear, and two very small holes drilled near the bridge (see photo). Besides that the body is overall in very good shape with no signs of any major damage. Neck shows some general finish wear, and a couple very small dings, but none affect playability and otherwise neck is comfortable and in very good condition. Headstock shows some light wear, surface marks, and dings, but overall is in good condition. Gorgeous rosewood fretboard that remains in excellent condition. Frets show some minor wear but are in great shape overall with plenty of life left. Hardware shows some general wear but is overall in good shape. Missing the thumbwheels that control the bridge mute, but has 2 Philips head screws in place that work equally as well if you want to use the mute. Electronics work great and of course features the "Rick-O-Sound" output that can operate as a regular mono output or split the neck and bridge pickup to their own dedicated outputs (as used by Chris Squire). Original pickups are in great shape and have that iconic Rickenbacker growl. Overall this one was definitely well loved and has its share of battle scars, but still remains in great shape and plays incredibly well! Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes original Rickenbacker hard case. See below for a list of specs and info.
