The 2004 Fender JB62-75US is a highly regarded '62 vintage reissue Jazz Bass. It was manufactured in Japan by the Dyna Gakki factory (often featuring a "Crafted in Japan" or CIJ label). The "75" in the model name represents its original catalog price of ¥75,000, while the "US" designation signifies that it came factory-equipped with USA-made vintage single-coil pickups. These premium pickups offer a major tonal upgrade over standard domestic Japanese models.
- Body Wood: Features a premium solid Alder body.
- Neck & Fingerboard: Slender, highly playable maple neck with a classic slab-laminated rosewood fingerboard. It features a vintage 7.25-inch (184mm) radius and 20 frets.
- Pickups: Dual factory-installed Fender USA Vintage Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickups. These provide a punchy, warm midrange and a classic, articulate 1960s tone.
- Vintage Hardware: Spiral saddle bridge, vintage-style reverse or standard open-gear clover tuners, a ground wire running on top of the body from the bridge to the rear pickup cavity, and a 3-ply tortoiseshell pickguard.
- Controls: Traditional 3-knob layout consisting of Volume 1 (Neck), Volume 2 (Bridge), and Master Tone.
