Description:
Here we have a 1999 Mexican Standard Stratocaster from our friends at Fender. This one comes in the now classic Wine Red finish that so many of these guitars came in from the era. Its hard not to feel nostalgic about this color for some of us here at the shop, as this was the finish of the guitars on the walls at our local shops when we first started on our own pursuit of tone 20 some odd years ago. This particular guitar is in fantastic condition after 25 years. The body has some light dings and flaws around the edges but over all in solid shape. It has one small finish crack near the neck pocket. Neck is clean and smooth with a modern 9.5 radius to it. The maple fretboard has been wiped clean and the frets polished with minimal wear on them. Headstock has a few small dings around the edges and on the backside. The middle pickup has been replaced and now all three snap and sparkle for all your sonic desires. The chrome hardware has aged but all functions as it should. This guitar has been inspected and set up by our techs here at the shop and ships in a gig bag. This one is ready to back in the hands of a new chaser of tone and lover and music.
