Here for your consideration is a 1996 Gibson Les Paul Special DC in very good condition with some great player upgrades! A great weight on this one as well at 7lbs even! Body shows some light general playwear (surface marks, dings, scratches, finish wear, finish checking, etc.), some holes that have been filled from a Bigsby being installed at some point, and a hole in the top horn from an extra strap button being installed, but overall the body is in great shape with no major damage. Neck shows some very minor surface marks but is overall in excellent condition. Headstock shows some surface marks and some wear/dings in the finish and along the edge, but is otherwise in good shape. Fretboard is in great shape and appears to have been recently professionally refretted with almost no signs of wear whatsoever. Also has had a bone nut installed. The hardware is in great overall shape. Tuning machines have been replaced with Gotoh locking tuners. Knobs have been replaced with witch hat style. Electronics have been thoroughly inspected and cleaned. Control setup has been modified to have only a master volume and master tone. Tone cap has been replaced with a genuine vintage Sprague Black Beauty which were the caps Gibson used in the 1950's. Original pickups sound fantastic. Overall an amazing playing Les Paul special with some really great upgrades/mods! Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes non-original SKB semi-hard case.
