A 1992 Orville by Gibson J-200 is a high-quality, Japanese-made "King of the Flat-tops" crafted at the Terada factory, often featuring a spruce top, maple back/sides, and a sunburst finish. These guitars represent the top-tier of Gibson's Japanese-market line from the 1990s, boasting premium construction and accurate vintage aesthetics. "Orville by Gibson" was the premium tier (typically with nitrocellulose lacquer), higher than the standard "Orville" brand, and made in partnership with Yamano Gakki for the Japanese market.
