Description:

Here for your consideration is an ultra rare 1989 Yamaha SG-T Masayoshi Takanaka signature model in excellent condition!

The Yamaha SG-T is the ultra-rare, first official signature guitar built for Japanese jazz-fusion legend Masayoshi Takanaka. The original release was highly limited (estimated at around 200 units), making vintage iterations highly collectible. Due to early disagreements over the initial release, Takanaka later transitioned to Vestax guitars in the 1990s before officially returning to Yamaha to collaborate on the SG-T2 and SG2000MT models in 1998.

Although nearly 40 years old this one remains in excellent condition showing only some pick marks, surface marks, and a couple of very minor surface dings/scratches. Frets are in excellent condition with hardly any wear on them. Hardware is all in very good shape showing only some minimal wear. Original Yamaha "Rockin' Magic Pro" tremolo system works perfectly. Original Yamaha pickups work perfectly and sound great! Binding is in great shape with no notable damage or blemishes. This early Takana SG-T would fit perfectly in a collection, or just as an amazing playing and very versatile SG. Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes original case with tools, and two tremolo arms. See below for a full list of specs and info.
