Description:
Here we have a 1989 Gibson Les Paul Standard in a cherry sunburst for y'all. This particular burst is slightly darker than your average, a deep red into a heavy amber, which really catches your eye and sets this guitar apart from others. The body has some chips and dings around the edges of the back of the guitar, but none on the front. Just your typical light wear and surface scratches that you'd expect to find on a 36 year old guitar. The pick guard is cracked around the screw near the neck, but its still being held in place well. The neck feels solid and smooth with a small chip behind the 9th fret, some smaller dents, notably behind the 6th, 9th, and 10th frets as well. Over all the neck is in good shape. The fretboard is nice and dark like we love 'em, and the trapezoid inlays are starting to age and yellow to perfection. Frets have been played and show wear, but with plenty of years left in them. The headstock has small chips on both horns, as well as both sides near the nut, the face has lots of the usual surface scratches but nothing major. Back of the headstock also has a few chips in the paint(See Photos). Pickups sparkle and growl just how they're supposed to. This one is ready to rock. Overall this guitar is in great condition and ready for a new home.
