1989 Fender Standard Top Load Telecaster TL-33 Made in Japan MIJ
Maker: Fender
Model: Telecaster TL-33
Condition: excellent
Description:
Here is a rare gem; a beautifully aged finish on a near unplayed 1989 top loader Telecaster. This was actually sonic blue when it was built, you can still see the color in the neck pocket along with the factory color stamp "SBL". Naturally UV aged into a rich butterscotch over time. See our photos of the neck pocket and underneath the bridge to see traces of the original Sonic Blue.
This seem to have been on display but rarely (if ever) played as it is in near mint condition apart from the extreme finish color shift. Even the hardware and frets are in excellent condition with hardly any wear at all. And an incredible playing Telecaster that is begging to be played! A super comfortable neck with a really smooth satin finish. A true time capsule guitar with an incredible aged/faded finish that we are calling "Sonic Butterscotch". Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes gig bag but we do have hard cases available for upgrade.
