Description:
For someone after a JV strat but without the full JV price tag, here is a player modded JV with a great weight and feel! This is a beautifully lightweight ST62-65 model JV stratocaster which originally was finished in a blue poly. Previous owner refinished it in a thin black nitro. Pickguard has been changed to one ply black giving it a great unique vibe. Original factory USA vintage reissue pickups and full size pots remain. 1983 Pencil date on the neck heel. Overall in great shape, the body shows a fair amount of finish chips due to the very thin nitro finish, along with some surface marks, scratches, and dings, but otherwise has no major damage and has a great played in/road worn feel. Neck is in very good shape and is a very comfortable medium profile. Headstock shows some light wear along the edges but is otherwise clean. Freetboard shows some light wear along the edges but is otherwise in great shape. Frets show some light wear but have no issues and plenty of life in them. Hardware shows some age and wear but is all perfectly functional. Electronics work great and features a brand new DiMarzio wiring harness with premium parts including CTS pots, Sprague Orange Drop capacitor, CRL 5-Way switch, Gavitt pushback wire, and Switchcraft output jack. Features the original USA Fender pickups that sound incredible. Overall a fantastic player Strat with upgraded electronics that is super lightweight and feels amazing! Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes gig bag but we do have hard cases available for upgrade.
