1983 Aria Pro II PE-R80KV Kahler, made in Japan, Matsumoku factory
Maker: Aria Pro II
Model: PE-R80KV
Condition: Very good
Description:
Here for your consideration is a 1983 Aria Pro II PE-R80KV in very good condition! One of Japan's famed Matsumoku Factory's most illustrious unique takes on a Les Paul style guitar. Designed by Nobuaki Hayashi the Aria Pro II PE-R80KV incorporated cutting edge features such as the heelless neck joint (similar to B.C. Rich guitars of that era), carved top and back with matching control cover, countersunk controls and switches and came factory equipped with USA DiMarzio Dual Sound Humbuckes - the sought after early 4 conductor versions of the Super Distortion.
This one remains very good condition for being over 40 years old! Body shows some light surface marks, scratches, and dings but overall is very clean with no major damage or issues. Back of neck is in excellent shape with no notable damage or blemishes. Headstock shows some wear along the edge but is otherwise very clean. Fretboard is very clean but there is some finish chipping in the clear coat along the fretboard edges (See pictures). Frets show some wear and divots, mostly in the first 5 frets but have no issues with buzzing or dead spots and still have a good amount of life left. Hardware shows some aging, oxidization, and pitting but is in overall good shape and working perfectly, including the Kahler trem system. Includes a replacement silver trem arm. Electronics work great and features a set of Maxon "Classic Power" humbuckers with coil tap switches for both the neck and bridge pickup. A great playing and very high quality guitar made in the legendary Matsumoku factory. Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes gig bag.
