Model: EG59

Condition: Excellent

Description:

A 1982 EGF1200 made in Japan from Greco's highly sought-after "Super Real" series built at the legendary Fujigen factory during the peak era of Japan vintage craftsmanship. These high end Greco's from the early 80s have become quite collectable due to their build quality, spec accuracy and playability. They were a level above what Gibson was putting out at the time for sure. Incredibly well made '59 copies in both look and feel featuring premium tone woods and period correct construction.

1982 was a transitional year between the Super Real series and the incoming Mint Collection series. This has a bit of a crossover with Super Real still on the headstock but with "DRY 1982" pickups as seen on the Mint Collection series. Brazilian rosewood fretboard, long tenon construction, 2 piece mahogany body.

Body shows a fair amount of general playwear, surface marks, dings, and scratches throughout (see photos for details), but is otherwise in great shape with no major damage. Neck shows some light general player but is otherwise in excellent condition. Headstock shows some light surface marks and some light wear along the edges but is otherwise clean. Fretboard remains in very clean condition. Frets show very little wear with no issues and tons of life left. Hardware shows some light age and wear but is all in perfect working order. Front strap knob has been moved just above the original placement and still has the hole from the original postion. Electronics have been thoroughly cleaned and work perfectly. Features a set of the legendary and highly sought after Dry 1982 humbuckers. A very nice example of some of the finest guitars that Japan had to offer of the era. Top of the line in craftsmanship and vintage spec authenticity. This one plays incredibly well and has incredible tone! Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes a newer classic style TKL case.
