Condition: very good

Description:

A first year Martin D-37K2 dreadnought acoustic guitar in very good condition. Unlike the standard D-37K (which featured a spruce top), the D-37K2 is built entirely from select, highly figured Hawaiian curly koa for the top, back, and sides. It includes specialized cosmetic details such as an abalone soundhole rosette, upgraded tuners, and distinctive fretboard inlay markers (unlike standard dot inlays). Being all-koa, it offers a brilliant, crisp, and sweet warm tone with distinct mid-range focus and clear separation, differing significantly from the booming bass of traditional spruce-and-rosewood dreadnoughts.

This one is overall in very good condition! It has had a professional partial re-fret done,  new pickguard installed (old one was warped and damaged, but is included), and a full professional setup by our in house luthier. There are some very light surface marks throughout, and a finish reaction on the rear of the body near the strap button from what looks like being on a guitar stand for too long. There is a few minor dings throughout as well, one notable one behind the 9th/10th fret, but is not a major ding and doesn't affect the playability in any way. Shows some light wear along the edges on the headstock, but is otherwise clean. Fretboard and inlays remain very clean and has brand new, professionally installed frets up to the 8th fret. Has a brand new bridge saddle and bridge pins professionally cut for optimal action and intonation. This one plays wonderfully and truly a unique guitar in both sound and appearance. A true beauty! Includes original hard case (lays flat when open).
