Description:

Here for your consideration is a 1967 Gibson J-50 ADJ in very good condition! This one is in great shape for its age and has tons of mojo! The body shows general playwear throughout with various dings and surface marks, and lots of very nice finish checking. Back of neck shows a fair amount of dings,  surface marks, and finish checking but is otherwise in great shape and very comfy! Headstock shows some wear throughout and various minor dings and surface marks but is overall in great shape. Fretboard shows some slight divots on the 5 frets but is not major and doesn't affect playability. Otherwise fretboard is in great shape. Frets show some slight wear but for the age of the guitar they are in great shape with no major divots or issues and still have tons of life in them. Bridge and adjustable saddle remain in great shape along with the original bridge pins. Tuning machines are in great shape and work perfectly. Overall a killer vintage Gibson with all the vintage vibe and tone you could ask for! Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes non-original Gibson hard case.

The Gibson J-50 ADJ (Adjustable Bridge) is a 1960s-era slope-shoulder acoustic (spruce top, mahogany back/sides) featuring a natural finish and a specialized rosewood bridge with a metal-or-rosewood adjustable saddle. Renowned for a warm, punchy midrange often favored by artists like Bob Dylan.

Key Features and Specs
  • Body & Finish: Slope-shoulder dreadnought, often with a "natural" top finish (as opposed to the sunburst J-45).
  • Bridge: The defining feature is the adjustable bridge, which allowed for quick, easy action changes.
  • Tone: Known for a warm, woody, "thumpy" tone.
  • Hardware: Large tortoise-colored pickguard, frequently with Kluson deluxe tuners.
