Here for your consideration we have a 1983 Yamaha Custom SG3000 Professional in Very good condition. This is the top of the line of the SG series guitars and this one feels and plays like it. Body shows some light surface marks and one very minor ding along the top edge but otherwise very clean with a stunning metallic black finish. Binding has started to pop out in a small area on the bottom side of the neck joint (see photo), But it does not affect playability in any way and can't be felt even when playing in the very high register. Binding is very solid besides that. Neck is in great shape with only one very small chip in the finish on the volute. Headstock is very clean with only light surface marks. Fretboard is in excellent condition and frets have very minimal wear with lots of life left. Hardware and tuning machines show signs of age and patina but is otherwise in good shape and all functions perfectly. Electronics work perfectly and the SG3000 Pickups sound incredible and with coil splitting is incredibly versatile. This guitar  is in excellent shape for its age, plays like a dream and sounds fantastic. Freshly set up by our tech here at Coast Sonic and is ready for a new home. Original hard case included. Tolex on the original hard case has separated a bit (see photos), but the case itself is till in great shape.
