Description:

Here for your consideration is a 1997 Gibson 1962 J-45 in very good condition! The 1997 Gibson 1962 J-45 is a vintage-style reissue from the Bozeman, Montana factory, often associated with the "Early J-45" series designed by Master Luthier Ren Ferguson. These models were built to replicate the specs and lighter construction of early 1960s J-45s, featuring a distinctive thin '62-spec dark red tortoise pickguard. Basically a forerunner to later "vintage recreation" models like the Historic, Authentic, Legend, True Vintage and New Vintage lines. This one has had a seam separation on the back side of the body, but has been professionally repaired and in very solid condition. Also shows some general surface marks, dings, and playwear, but besides that this one is in very good condition and even showing some early signs of checking in the nitro finish. Rear of neck shows some finish checking starting to form as well and some light surface marks but is overall in very good shape. Headstock shows some light wear along the edges and some light surface marks but otherwise is in good shape. Fretboard shows some light impressions on the first 4-5 frets but are not very deep an do not affect playability. Frets show some light divots and wear but have no issues with buzzing or dead spots and plenty of life left.  Bridge and bridge pins remain in great shape. Overall a fantastic and clean player J-45 that sounds incredible and plays effortlessly. Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes original Gibson hard case with original documentation.
