Maker: Gibson

Model: Early J-45

Condition: Very good

Description:

A rare 1997 Gibson "Early J-45" model, these were only made for a few years and were a re-issue designed by Master Luthier Ren Ferguson of the classic 1952 to 1954 era J-45 . Basically a forerunner to later "vintage recreation" models like the Historic, Authentic, Legend, True Vintage and New Vintage lines.

The Early J-45 is the classic 50's era J-45 recipe featuring a Sitka Spruce top with Spruce X-bracing, Mahogany sides, back, body blocks and neck. The fingerboard and bridge are Indian Rosewood. Vintage Gibson block logo, Kluson Deluxe style tuners and a nitro finish.

Though nearly 30 years old this one remains in very good condition and ever has some nice finish checking that will only become better with time. Body shows some light surface marks (mostly on the back side) and some really cool checking, but otherwise is in excellent condition. Neck shows some light checking as well and is in great shape with no major blemishes or damage. Headstock shows some light wear but is overall in great shape with no major damage. Fretboard is very clean and frets are in excellent shape showing almost no signs of wear. Tuning machines show some patina, age, and wear but are perfectly functional. Bridge, saddle, and bridge pins are in very good condition. A beautiful and warm sounding J-45 that feels great! And that sunburst finish with the checking just looks awesome. Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes original Gibson hard case with humidifier tube an sound hole cap.
