Description:
Here for your consideration is a Rare Japanese made 1983 Squier JV Contemporary Precision-Jazz Bass PJ555 (Pre-Boxer series) in very good condition! This one features a flashy and stunning Torino Red finish. Made in the famed Fujigen factory, this one predates the Boxer series and features a JV (Japanese Vintage) serial number. Identical in specs to the bass Duff McKagan used with Guns N' Roses. Featuring an Alder body and a Maple neck with a Rosewood fretboard. The body shows some light surface marks that you would expect from a 40+ year old guitar but has no major damage and the charmingly 80's Torino Red finish remains in great shape throughout the whole guitar. Neck is in excellent condition with no notable damage or blemishes. Headstock shows some very minor wear but is otherwise very clean. Fretboard is in excellent shape. Frets show some light wear but have no issues and plenty of life left. Hardware shows some age - bridge shows a fair amount of pitting, but all hardware is in great working condition. Volume pot is slightly bent but still functions perfectly as with all other electronics. Features original Fender Hot Rod P-4D (Neck) and Hot Rod J-5D (Bridge) pickups that sound incredible. A beautiful and rare PJ style Bass with an 80's vibe that plays and sounds killer. Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes gig bag.
