Description:

It seems our lefty friends always get left on the Yamano Gibson's out so we're very happy to offer this left hand gorgeous honey burst 50s Les Paul Standard Yamano.

From the late 1980s until 2006, Yamano held the exclusive distribution rights for Gibson guitars in Japan. Today, these guitars are highly sought after by collectors and players worldwide. They are widely considered to be among the finest instruments Gibson produced during that era.

This one is not only a rarely seen Lefty Yamano Les Paul, but it remains incredibly clean for a 24 year old guitar. The body shows some very light surface marks, and a roughly 3 inch scuff in the finish near the output jack (see photo), but overall is in excellent condition with no major damage or issues. Neck shows a few very light surface marks but is overall very clean with no notable damage or blemishes. Headstock shows some light surface marks as well but is overall very clean. Fretboard is in excellent condition and frets show very little wear with no issues and tons of life left in them. Hardware shows some age and oxidization but is otherwise in great shape and all working perfectly. Neck volume control knob shows an internal crack forming, but is still functional. Electronics function perfectly and have been thoroughly cleaned. Original Burstbucker pickups sound fantastic. A stunning Lefty Les Paul with an incredible Honey Burst finish. Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes Gibson hard case, though the combination lock is broken, see photo for details.

About Yamano Gibson's:

Legendary Quality Control: The Japanese market at the time demanded cosmetic and structural perfection. Yamano Music was notorious for having a strict "right of refusal" policy. If a guitar arrived with even minor finish flaws, binding issues, or subpar wood grain, Yamano would reject it and send it right back to Gibson.

The "Pick of the Litter": To avoid high shipping costs on returned items, Gibson’s builders paid exceptional attention to detail on the guitars designated for Yamano. Yamano also regularly sent their own inspectors to the Gibson factory in Nashville to hand-select the finest wood tops, prettiest flame maples, and cleanest builds specifically for the Japanese market.

Exclusive Specifications: Beyond standard models, Yamano frequently ordered special, limited-edition runs with unique features not available in the West. These included custom color finishes, specific historical neck profiles, lighter weight-selected bodies, and heavily figured "Premium Plus" AAA maple tops.
