Description:
Here for your consideration is a 1993 Orville by Gibson ES-335 Dot in very good condition! Orville by Gibson was a high-end brand of Gibson guitars produced in Japan from 1988 to 1998 in association with their Japanese distributor and designed for the Japanese domestic market. Built featuring Japanese craftsmanship, nitrocellulose finishes, and USA parts; CTS pots, Gibson pickups.
This 1993 Orville by Gibson ES-335 Dot was built under Gibson's direct supervision at Japan's famed Terada factory. Factory-equipped with Gibson USA '57 Classic humbuckers, USA CTS pots and orange drop capacitors.
Overall in very good condition with a lovely Heritage Cherry finish. Body shows some very minor surface marks and general player but is otherwise very clean. Neck shows some light surface marks and has a finish crack where it meets the headstock. This is purely in the clear/surface coat - NOT a crack in the wood of the neck. Neck is otherwise fully stable, in excellent shape, and feels great. Headstock shows some light wear along the edges but is otherwise very clean. Fretboard is in excellent shape and frets show only some very minor wear and small divots starting to form but have no issues with buzzing/dead spots and plenty of life left. Hardware shows some light age and wear but is all perfectly functional and otherwise in great shape. Electronics have been thoroughly cleaned and work great. Features USA made CTS pots, Orange Drop capacitors, and Gibson USA humbuckers that sound fantastic. Overall a beautiful 335 Dot that plays great with a beautiful Cherry finish. Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes hard case.
