Maker: Greco

Model: EG59

Condition: Excellent

Description:

A transitional year Greco Eg59, made in Japan. During the transition between "Super Real" and the mint series - specs are the same as Super Real's but without the headstock logo. These early 1982 models were the last to feature the highly sought after "Dry Z" pickups. This was the hight of the "lawsuit" era guitars - incredibly well made '59 Les Paul copies that were arguably better than what Gibson was putting out in those years. 2 piece flame maple top (not veneer), long tenon neck joint, correct headstock angle, fret end nibs, beautiful Brazilian rosewood fretboard & inlays.

At 42 years of age this remains in spectacular condition; headstock and rear of neck are excellent, fretboard is excellent, frets show only the lightest of marks (almost none), front of body is excellent with only very light surface marks, rear of the body has some light buckle wear but nothing major or through the finish - just surface impressions. Back edge has a few minor edge marks. Otherwise extremely clean with no major dings/chips or deep scratches. A beautiful example of the golden era of the "lawsuit" Grecos!

Includes hardcase. Has been fully inspected and setup here by our team at Coast Sonic and is ready for a new home.
