Condition: Very good
Description:
Here for your consideration is a 1980 Gibson Les Paul Standard in very good condition! A lovely Tobacco Sunburst finish on this one and a perfectly worn in feel. Featuring a one piece back, and Seymour Duncan SH-2 and JB pickups. The body shows some surface marks, dings, and scratches (see photos), but is overall in great shape with no major damage. Neck shows some minor dings throughout, one of which behind the 11th fret can slightly be felt while playing but doesn't get too much in the way and otherwise the neck is in great shape. Binding has yellowed over time and shows some wear, but otherwise is in good condition. Headstock shows some finish chipping along the top of the tuning machines on the back side along with some cracks in the finish on the top rear side of the back. Also shows general surface marks and wear but overall is in very good condition with no major damage of any sort. Original tuning machines have been changed out with Grover Deluxe style machines. Fretboard remains in excellent shape. Frets have been leveled and are somewhat low, but still plays great. Hardware shows some pitting and wear on the bridge but overall all hardware works great and is in good shape. Electronics have been thoroughly inspected and set up and work perfectly. Original pickups have been replaced with Seymour Duncan SH-2 and JB Humbuckers. Overall a great Les Paul Standard that feels great, looks great, and sounds great! Has been fully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes original chainsaw case.
