Maker: Greco

Model: EX800

Condition: Very good

Description:

Here for your consideration is a 1977 Greco EX800 Explorer in very good condition! The same guitar as EVH played in the early days of Van Halen (Ibanez Destroyer 2459), just with a different name! Greco and Ibanez guitars from the "lawsuit era" were both produced by Japan's legendary FujiGen Factory. Guitars destined for the domestic Japanese market were typically labeled Greco, while those exported to other regions, such as the United States, were branded Ibanez. Same exact guitar but with a different brand name on the headstock depending on destination. This one is very clean and feels incredible! Body shows some very light surface marks and scuffs but is overall very clean. Neck is very clean as well with no notable damage or issues. Headstock shows two very small finish chips on the back bottom edge crack in the clear coat (see photo) but is otherwise in great shape with no major damage. Fretboard is excellent and frets show only very light signs of wear with no issues and plenty of life. Bridge shows some light pitting but besides that all hardware is in very good working condition. Electronics work great and features a set of Maxon U-2000 Pickups that sound fantastic. Overall just an incredible guitar that feels amazing and is in great condition. Includes original hard case. Has been fully inspected and set up by our team and ready for a new home.
