Kent Armstrong Handwound Series Humbucker *Nickel*

This vintage recipe humbucker is a modified replication of the 1960's era pickup installed in Rory Gallagher's 1964 Gibson Melody Maker and formerly endorsed by the Rory Gallagher estate. Kent has added his preferred modifications that include a flat stainless steel baseplate which has no affect on tone or magnetic field but ensures you won't deal with stripping out the threaded plate and a 4 core lead enabling coil tapping and series parallel wiring for added versatility. The Alnico V magnets and lower 7.3K Ohm resistance give you an aged tone typical of a 50 - 60 year old pickup while maintaining the chime, articulation and noise cancellation you would expect from that era humbucking pickup.
