Maker: Tokai
Model: '70s Stratocaster Silver Star TSS-36
Condition: very good
Description:
The epitome of the famed Japanese "lawsuit" era guitars; this is a 1979 Tokai copy of a 70s Fender Strat that feels and plays better than most real 70s Fender's, definitely lighter as well. They nailed all the specs; large CBS style headstock, bullet truss adjust, grey bottom fiber bobbin pickups, 3 way switch, aged white finish, even the saddles are the era correct style. This one remains in very clean condition for a 45 year old guitar - seems to have only seen light use. Headstock is excellent as is the back of the neck. Fretboard is a beautifully dark rosewood, frets are excellent. Body shows a few minor edge marks but nothing through the finish, some light pickwear on the guard.
Has been fully inspected and setup here by our team at Coast Sonic and is ready for a new home. Includes original gigbag.
