Description:

Here for your consideration is a 1977 Yamaha AE2000 in good condition! A killer L-5 copy made in the golden era of Japanese guitar craftsmanship. This one is a little rough cosmetically, but has it where it counts! The body shows a fair amount of "finish clouding" that Yamahas of this era are known for, along with some general play wear, surface marks, and some small dings, but overall is in good shape with no major damage. Neck is in great shape with no major damage. Headstock shows a good amount of the "finish clouding" but is otherwise in great shape. Fretboard shows some minor surface scratches from what appears to have been someone trying to clean finger grime off, does not affect playability and only noticeable up close. Frets show some light wear but overall are in good shape with a good amount of life left in them. Hardware shows a good amount of aging, patina, oxidization, and wear, but all hardware functions perfectly and the bridge is set properly. Bridge volume knob is missing the silver insert on top. Pickguard is missing the screw holes remain in place so one could be easily added. Please study photos for a full idea of the cosmetic condition. Electronics have been properly cleaned and function perfectly. Pickups work great and sound fantastic. Overall this one has a lot of character, plays incredibly well, and sounds amazing. And you should buy it for the Miles Davis sticker on the case alone. Has been fully and professionally inspected and set up. Includes original case.
