Maker: Gibson

Model: L-7

Condition: vintage/very good

Description:

Presenting a gorgeous, 1944 Gibson L-7 in vintage but very good condition. It has seen some changes and minor repairs over it's long life but remains a beautiful playing instrument with a ton of character. Most of these were sunburst but this one had the top stripped and refinished at some point for a great unique look. Frets are small vintage style but feel and play great.

There is a repair to the inlay at the 3rd fret. Has an added Kent Armstrong hand-wound Alnico V humbucker with volume and tone controls on what is most likely a replacement pickguard. Nut is replaced. There is a small crack repair at the heel, there are a few screw holes on the top from where there was probably a different pickup at some point in it's life. Binding has yellowed and aged but no missing pieces/rot or major cracking - solid all round. The neck heel strap knob is missing and there is an extra filled strap hole.

Wood is beautifully aged for a great volume and sound. Overall this is a fantastic playing and sounding, real-deal vintage jazzbox with style for miles.

Includes generic hard case with a replaced handle.
