Description:
Here for your consideration is a vintage, real deal 1956 Fender Deluxe amplifier in good condition! You've heard this amp on countless records. This one is a little rough cosmetically, but its got it where it counts and sound exactly like you want it to. Freshly serviced by our amp tech and is about 70 percent original components inside. Speaker has been replaced with a mojotone 12" anthem alnico. All electrolytics have been replaced with brand new MOD caps. Internodal resistors have been changed to hefty 3 watt metal oxide resistors. The power tubes cathode resistor and bypass cap have been replaced with another hefty Ohmite resistor and MOD cap. 100K plate resistors on v1 were out of spec and have been replaced with metal film resistors. 3 prong grounded power cable has been installed. Original yellow astron caps tested ok and have been left in. Power tube sockets are non original. Has original triad power transformer. This has what we believe to be a possibly original Stancor output transformer which was uncommon. We haven't seen a stancor output transformer on the deluxe model but they have been used on similar low wattage tweed amps from the era, so hard to say if it came from the factory with that in there but the aging on it sure seems like it's been there since day one. Tube chart remains in tact and dates this amp to 1956. Cabinet is overall solid but the speaker baffle does have some cracks. Leather handle has been replaced with a brand new one. Definitely not a museum piece, but it sounds exactly as it should and when you plug a guitar in and turn it up it has that unmistakeable tone that you've heard all over the place on SO many records.
