Description:

A rare 1983 JV serial, "Japan Vintage" made in Japan Squier 70s reissue Stratocaster CST-45. The JV serial Strats were the first instruments produced in Japan under the newly created Fender Japan line. Their serial numbers started with “JV”,  an acronym that stood for Japanese Vintage, and arrived at Fender even a few months before the production of the American Vintage, surprising Dan Smith and his collaborators for their high build quality.

This one has been played and shows some general playwear but has not been abused and remains in good condition. There is some finish wear on the back of the neck and fretboard edges, some fretwear mainly in the root chord position (tons of life left). Body shows some light buckle marks on the rear, finish dulling from play, pick marks on the guard and some edge marks. Metals show some patina. No major dings/chips or deep scratches though - just honest play wear.
