Recommended is our new little feature where we're having people share some of their personal favorites; One Album, one book and one movie. As Dwarfcraft just released their latest device this week we thought Ben Hinz would be a good place to start:
One Album: FKA Twigs M3LL155X - EP
This is a masterclass in electronic music production. Complete with singing on every song, so people who "don't like electronic music" think it's R&B or something. It's also sexy and creepy. Pretty much amazing in every way.
One Book: I have to do my duty here and recommend Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns. This is pretty much the genesis of our modern Batman, even though it's a fucked up alternate future story where Superman is a government stooge and Batman is in his 50s or 60s. The movies have been cherry picking from this book since "The Dark Knight" so if you haven't read it you'll recognize some lines and events.
One Film: Blade Runner, of course!
I would watch this movie every day, upside down, underwater. That's how much I love it. Every frame of that film is a visual masterpiece. Plus robots who want to live but cannot. :(
