Cesar Diaz was an extremely accomplished and sought after amp and pedal builder who worked with a number of high-profile musicians, most notably Stevie Ray Vaughan, Keith Richards, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Gregg Allman and many others. He passed away in 2002 and his line disappeared. It was resurrected by hi wife and former right hand man years later. Original pedals are very sought after and hard to find - they are signed and dated inside the rear cover by Diaz. 

So we come to this one which recently found it's way to us; in addition to the internal date and signature there is a second on the back with the added wording of " Keeper, Do not sell, Danger". Seems to have been a message from Diaz to the staff regarding the hazards of shipping this one out. So was this his personal unit? One he wanted to keep for someone special? I guess we'll never know for sure, sure sounds great though.
