The usual cause of these problems is the mismatch of the impedance in the electrical circuit between the pickup and subsequent equipment: this mismatch has been completely eliminated with the introduction of our \u003cb\u003eLD-3™ \u003c\/b\u003eLine Driver\/mute\/Tuner Feed unit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp align=\"LEFT\"\u003eThe input impedance is identical to a high quality tube amplifier and our Class A Pre-amplifier also features a highly effective RF filter which will help prevent interference from nearby radio transmitters.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp align=\"LEFT\"\u003eThe pickup output should be connected directly to the Line Driver input with a short, low loss, screened cable; the Line Driver output can now be fed to any effects or volume pedals (if used) and then on to the amplifier, using fully screened cables, of any length, throughout.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp align=\"justify\"\u003eAlso fitted is an input for a DC adaptor: the size of the coax connector is 5.5\/2.1mm and the center pin is negative (-VE). The adapter should be noise free, fully stabilized at 9V DC and capable of supplying 20mA. We recommend the use of Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus adapter as meeting the above criteria and cannot accept any liability for damage caused to this unit by the use of, or to, any other type of DC adapter. An adapter proving an output of an AC voltage should \u003cb\u003eNOT\u003c\/b\u003e be used.
