Maker: Squier

Model:  JV '72 Strat

Condition: very good

Description:

A rare 1983 JV serial, "Japan Vintage" made in Japan Squier 70s reissue Stratocaster. The JV serial Strats were the first instruments produced in Japan under the newly created Fender Japan line. Their serial numbers started with “JV”,  an acronym that stood for Japanese Vintage, and arrived at Fender even a few months before the production of the American Vintage, surprising Dan Smith and his collaborators for their high build quality.

This one has been played and shows some general playwear but has not been abused and remains in good condition. Ritchie Blackmore style. Body shows some light surface marks and scuffs, a few minor dings and neck pocket shows some light cracking in the finish but nothing serious and no major damage of any sort. Shows a pencil mark 1983 neck date. Neck and fretboard are in excellent condition. Frets show very minimal wear and have plenty of life in them. Metals show some patina. No major dings/chips or deep scratches though - just honest play wear.

Includes Fender gigbag. Has been fully inspected and setup here by our team at Coast Sonic and is ready for a new home.
