The JV serial Strats were the first instruments produced in Japan under the newly created Fender Japan line. \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eTheir serial numbers started with “JV”,  an acronym that stood for \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb\u003eJapanese Vintage\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, and arrived at Fender even a few months before the production of the American Vintage, surprising Dan Smith and his collaborators for their high build quality. Featuring a r\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eare \"California Blue\" finish which has aged into a really unique\/vibey greenish hue. Body shows some some various minor dings and surface marks but is otherwise in excellent condition. Neck and headstock are in excellent shape with no notable blemishes or damage. Fretboard remains in great shape with no damage or blemishses. Frets show only very minimal wear with no issues and plenty of life left in them. Hardware shows some age but is otherwise in great shape and all works perfectly. Electronics work great and pickups sound amazing!
