A 1976 Rickenbacker 4001S Standard Model Bass in very good condition! Famously played by Chris Squire, Paul McCartney, and countless others. Although this one is 50 years old it remains in great shape and plays like a dream. Body shows some general playwear, surface marks, dings, buckle rash, etc. but shows no major damage or issues and has just the right amount of character and vintage vibe. Neck shows some light marks but has no major damage or blemishes. Headstock shows some very light surface marks and some wear along the edges but is otherwise clean. A beautiful rosewood fretboard that remains in great shape. Frets show some light wear but overall are in good shape and have a good amount of life left in them. Hardware shows some light age but overall in very good shape for its age. Electronics work perfectly. Has the original set of pickups however the bridge pickup was DOA so we had it rewound by Tom Brantley (Geddy Lee's go-to guy for rewinds). Pickups sound phenomenal  and have all the wonderful growl and aggressive tone that can only be achieved by a Rickenbacker. This one is seriously incredible! Plays effortlessly and is undeniably gorgeous. Get your Chris Squire on with this beauty. Has been thoroughly and carefully inspected and set up by our tech and ready for a new home. Includes original hard case.
