Model: Les Paul Standard LPS-80
Condition: very good
Description:
A pre-Elitist series Epiphone Les Paul Standard LPS-80 made in the famed Fujigen factory. These high end build quality models were built for the Japanese domestic market and not for export so are seldom seem in the US. Features the classic Gibson "open book" headstock, long neck tenon construction with true solid maple tops - not veneers. This one has been upgraded with USA Mojotone '59 PAF humbuckers making it a formidable instrument. Finish is a beautiful honey burst with a dark red/brown back.
Headstock is very clean with only one small nick at the very tip of one of the wings (very small). rear of neck has a finish ding behind the 8th fret otherwise very clean. frets show some wear in the root chord position but have tons of life left. Fretboard is a rich grained rosewood in very good condition. Front of body is very clean and shows only light surface marks, rear shows the most wear with some scratching, playwear rash and edge marks - please study photos, all illustrated. Overall, except for the back this is a very clean, 25 year old, fantastic playing Les Paul from one of Japan's legendary factories with a great pickup upgrade.
Has been fully inspected and setup here by our team at Coast Sonic and is ready for a new home. Ships with original hard case in excellent condition.
